When Tone Aanderaa's father died - only 57, in 1991 she was still in transition between America and Norway. She started three paintings before leaving the USA:
'Well Spring'; was nearly completed.
She finished 'Utspring' in Norway. It was still wet when she placed it at her father's funeral ceremony.
Tone organised the 'Liminal' exhibitions. It started as a thesis exhibition to achieve the MFA degree at the Pratt Institute, New York, USA. It was also shown and extended in Norway. They were hold at Galleri LNM, Oslo ('Liminal II'); Hardanger folkemuseum, Utne ('Undring'); Higgins Hall, Brooklyn, New York ('Liminal')
