Tone Aaandera was certainly inspired by living in 'Magritte-land'. Somehow she tries to 'make sense' of 'immigrations', 'transistions', 'parallel worlds', - such as influenced by her own 'imported' birds and cat in a whole new landscape, new home, new environment. Several times a year they're 'exported' back to Norway. Do they know if they live here or there, before or behind the window?

The painting is inspired by the avenue bordered with trees from Jodoigne to Wavre near Melin. It's the view coming from Wavre and moving to Jodoigne.
