Tone Aanderaa used to spend her summers and shool holliday periods fishing for salmon – a longtime tradition in her family. During her studies at the Pratt institute in New-York she continued to return to Norway to fish on salmon. Her little sister insisted on accompanying her for many years. The painting remembers the fishing. The horse is the childhood friend of her sister, a Shetland pony named ‘Lucky’.
This painting together with ‘Steinkaster’ hang in the waiting room at the Voss Hospital Norway.
