Solfrid Aksnes har si kunstutdanning frå Kunstakademia i Trondheim og Bergen på grafikk linja.

I dag uttrykkjer ho seg i fleire teknikkar. Å jobbe med collage i ulike materiale ligg nok hennar hjarta nærmast. No tar ho gjerne mykje foto som blir brukt både som utgangspunk og materiale for collagearbeida sine. Tidlegare var det grafiske trykk eller pastellteikningar som vart reve opp og sett saman igjen i ei leiting etter nye uttrykk.

Solfrid Aksnes seier: "Å jobbe med collage i ulike materiale gjev næring til å leike og la seg overraske og til sist gripe dei nye bileta som dukkar opp, det fasinere meg".

Solfrid Aksnes has a graphic education from the Art Academies of Trondheim and Bergen, Norway. Today she works in many different techniques. And collage perhaps being her most favourite, these days often incorporating photographs as both starting points and material in the process, whereas previously she often used graphic prints in combination with pastels.

Solfrid Aksnes says, "Collage of different materials gives nourishment to playfulness and surprises, and finally catching the new images which appear - this fascinates me."
