Ingunn van Etten received most of her art education in Belgium: College of Art and Design, Brussels, 1973 - 1975 and Art Academy, Leuven, 1972 - 1973.

Her education also includes also National Teacher's College, Art ed., Norway, 1977 - 1978.

Ingunn van Etten is a wellknown illustrator in Norway - with an extended list of beautifully illustrated books. She is, however, first and foremost a painter and sculptor, with numerous exhibitions in many countries;
